By signing up for a free 30-day trial of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, you are taking your first step towards improving your business’ marketing effectiveness, boosting your sales productivity, and enriching your customer service interactions. In this video series, we will help you measure and evaluate the application in the context of your business and help you get the most out of your CRM Online trial.
Let’s take a look at CRM Online when we sign into the trial for the first time. Before diving into the vast functionality of the application, it is important to understand that this is a default deployment of CRM Online. It is a newly unwrapped, right-out-of-the-box tool that has still yet to be refined for your business.
The xRM Success Portal is a great resource to use to learn the basic functionalities. It contains a number of resources, like introductory videos, how-to tutorials, and instructional webinars, all of which will help you effectively leverage your Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployment. To get a grasp on the core basics of structure and navigation, we highly recommend the introductory video series, which contains the “What is Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013”, “Understanding the Structure of CRM 2013”, and “Navigating CRM 2013” videos.
With a resource like the Success Portal already in place, this trial series is designed to not only help get the most out of a vanilla deployment in a short amount of time, but to provide some context. Yes there are many helpful lessons in the Success Portal, but those videos generally stand on their own. This series should help understand where to start, how to build a strong foundation, and where to go from there.
In the next entry in this series called “CRM Online Trial: Adding Users”, we not only cover how to add Users to an organization, but we take it a step further. There are different strategies for adding Users depending on your goals. We explain some shortcuts, as well as a few useful tricks.
We hope that you find this series useful, not just for working with a demo environment, but for improving your Dynamics CRM skillset, and help you get the most out of the Success Portal.
