Hi, and welcome to the Success Portal by xRM.com.
In CRM Online, you can add a personal touch to your Dashboard by adding your company logo. This is a simple process and can be done by any User if they are editing their own personal dashboard. If you are a System Administrator, System Customizer, or have equivalent privileges, you can add the logo to a system Dashboard.
We begin by navigating to Workplace > My Work > Dashboards. This is a Dashboard I created for this tutorial called “xRM Dashboard”. In the ribbon, let’s click Edit.
The Dashboard form opens. We want to place our company logo in this blank space between this chart and list. To do this, click Web Resource in the ribbon and the Add Web Resource window opens.
This is how we are going to add our company logo to this Dashboard: as a web resource. It is a virtual file that is stored in the CRM Online database and can be retrieved by using a unique URL address. A Web Resource can be in many formats such as html, JScript, and JPEG. I’ve already created a new Web Resource and uploaded a PNG file of the xRM.com company logo.
In the Web resource field, we’ll identify the file, which is called “xRM_Logo”.
We’ll also enter a Name and a Label since they are required fields. We’ll leave the Display label on the Dashboard option unchecked because we don’t need a label for our logo.
Below, in the Visibility area, we’ll make sure we leave the Visible by default option checked. Now, we’ll click the OK button.
The window closes and we are back at the Dashboard form. The Web Resource has successfully been added, but we must now manually drag it to the desired location. Once we do, we can click Save and Close in the ribbon.
The form closes, the “xRM Dashboard” refreshes, and we can now see our company logo.
Thanks for watching.
