Disabling the "Get CRM for Outlook" Message
An error occurred while loading the video. Please try again.
When you sign in to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you may notice the “Get CRM for Outlook” message bar. The button in this bar will help you activate CRM for Outlook. However, this bar will appear even if you already have CRM for Outlook.
Users can clear this bar manually each time they sign in by clicking the close icon on the far right. If you are a System Administrator, you can remove the bar entirely.
Before you disable the bar, it’s good to verify that none of your users need to configure CRM for Outlook.
Disabling the “Get CRM for Outlook” Message Bar
- Navigate to Settings > System > Administration, and then click System Settings.
- The System Settings dialog opens. Click the Outlook tab, and then scroll down to the section called, “Set whether users see “Get the Outlook client” in the Message Bar”.
- Select “No”, and then click the OK button.
Notice that when the dialog closes, the bar is still present. You can close it manually, or refresh the window. When it refreshes, the message bar is gone, and will no longer be present for any users in your organization.
